The Jewish Mitzvah (commandment) of Tevilah or toveling, is a ritual immersion of vessels (dishes or utensils) into a natural body of water. This can be any body of water where rain collects- a lake, the ocean.
The Jewish faith believes that the kitchen table is likened to the altar during the time of the Holy Temple. In order to help our homes to be a holy dwelling place, we tovel our kitchenware. We go to the water, dip in the utensil and saying a blessing. This spiritual act is a chance to bring us closer to G-d.
If you would like your item toveled, please add the “Tevilah” item in the shop to the cart. The Tevilah is no charge. I will go to the ocean and say a blessing before adding the crystals.
